Mr. Mohd. Mustafa Haji is a young carpet weaver from a family of Qazipora in the Bandipora district of J&K. He aspires to expand his carpet manufacturing unit in the future. To do so he enrolled in the certification program which could help him in securing a loan from the bank. He happily admits that the training has played a positive role in imparting him the right skills.

Mr. Jagdish Kumar Bind is a young carpet weaver belonging to a modest family in Mirzapur district, UP. He has been working as a carpet weaver for the last 10 years. However, he became aware of export quality designs only during his training. Now his monthly income has risen to Rs. 15,000 and he has also started receiving a higher load of orders.

I have been working as a Stone Carving Artisan for last 10 years. I have never been able to participate in any program until I got to know about RPL training given by IL&FS Skills and HCSSC under the PMKVY scheme. This training has provided me with the knowledge on new products that can be made out of stone with help of mechanized hand-tools.

I hail from a small village named Chwkham Gaon in Dhemaji district of Assam. While looking for an alternate income I participated in the training program held on Bamboo Utility Handicraft Assembler which was sponsored by NBCFDC and implemented by HCSSC. Today I feel happy as it enhanced not only my income but also my skills.
