The Handicrafts and Carpet Sector Skill Council (HCSSC) is a non-profit organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is an apex body for the handicraft and carpet sector to provide the requisite skilled manpower to the industry.

Our primary objective is to bridge the skill gap in the handicrafts and carpet sector by developing National Occupational Standards (NOS), conducting training programs, and certifying trainees to global standards.

How can a Training Provider get affiliated with HCSSC?

Assessment agencies must have a proven track record in vocational testing, certified assessors for specific job roles, and a transparent evaluation process aligned with HCSSC guidelines.
What kind of training programs does HCSSC offer?
We offer various programs including Fresh Training for new entrants, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for experienced artisans, and specialized Training of Trainers (ToT) and Training of Assessors (ToA).
