About the One District One Product (ODOP) - Uttar Pradesh

The One District One Product (ODOP) scheme is a flagship initiative of the Uttar Pradesh government designed to revive traditional crafts, boost local economies, and drive balanced regional growth by promoting a unique, indigenous product from each of the state's 75 districts.

By bridging the gap between traditional craft clusters and contemporary global demand, ODOP successfully positions Uttar Pradesh as a premier hub for indigenous, high-quality industrial excellence.

Key Objectives

Preserve Heritage: Safeguard and promote ancestral crafts, from Bhadohi’s carpets to Saharanpur’s wood carvings.
Economic Empowerment: Generate localized employment, scale micro-enterprises, and stem rural-to-urban migration.
Ecosystem Support: Provide artisans with advanced skill development, modern toolkits, and easy credit linkages.
Global Integration: Improve product quality and establish robust domestic and international market channels.
